How I Can Help

What happens during counselling?

In the early sessions we work together to find out what your key challenges are, what goals you would like to achieve and how to utilise your strengths. Confidentiality is also discussed.

As safety and connection is established, goals may change and your self-awareness will deepen. Counselling lasts for different lengths of time depending on an individual’s unique circumstances.

Sessions can be either weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on your situation and goals.

Which behaviours / conditions do you provide support for?

  • all addictive behaviours including alcohol, drugs, gambling, food, sex, porn, internet, love and shopping

  • childhood trauma and traumatic events experienced as an adult

  • mood disorders including depression and anxiety

  • relationship challenges whether that be with a partner, other family members or at work

  • grief including loss of a loved one or coming to terms with other losses such as a relationship, job, identity or status
